For decades, the Journal of School Health (the leading peer-reviewed publication of the American School Health Association (ASHA)), has served as a critical resource for advancing evidence-based practices, policies, and research dedicated to protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of school-aged children and youth worldwide. The quality, rigor, and impact of JOSH depend significantly on the expertise and dedication of professionals like you. There are several opportunities currently available:

  • Peer Reviewers (Referees):
    • Role: Review articles submitted to JOSH, providing constructive and substantive feedback on their contribution to science and the field. Your expert evaluation is crucial to our peer-review process.
  • Editorial Board Member:
    • Role: Support JOSH by helping determine editorial priorities, reviewing submitted articles, and promoting the journal within your networks. This is a key leadership role influencing the journal’s direction.
  • Associate Editors:
    • Role: Seek out and assign submitted articles to appropriate peer reviewers (referees) across a variety of content areas within school health. This role is critical for managing the peer-review process efficiently and effectively.
